Living on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically changed. The world beyond our doors is a shadow of its former self. We are now home arrest trapped within the boundaries of our homes, forced to conform to a new reality. The days melt, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, streaming media, and eating. We yearn for the simple activities that were once assumed for granted: a hike in the park, a meal with friends, or even just a talk without a screen separating us.
This new world has created challenges, but it has also exposed unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more patient, more resourceful, and more grateful for the simple things in life. As we navigate this new territory, we must keep hopeful that brighter days are ahead.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a brutal reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so near, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the burden of those bars feels suffocating. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. The constant ticking of time serves as a stark reality that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a spark of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be liberated. That day might seem impossible, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Chains of Liberty
The allure of freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can even lead to restriction. This happens when the very notion of freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and suppression.
Genuine freedom requires not only the absence with external constraints but also the development of internal spirit. When this inner base is lacking, even within a society that celebrates freedom, individuals can find themselves ensnared within the restrictions of their own thoughts.
Consequently, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to transcend the barriers that limit our potential, both externally and internally.
